Making Money Scams Making money scams. Yes, this article is about online money scams. How to spot a scam? Well it’s not always easy. Many scam artists have gotten quite good at what they do and thus many of their pitches sound very sincere and genuine (They have attractive sales copies).
Here are some types of internet business scams: free work at home jobs, “ultimate wealth opportunities”, online dating scams, online data entry scams, free and paid survey scams, mlm scams and etc.
Avoid the opportunities below, because they may be scams.
1-Anything that doesn’t specify what you’ll be doing. Think yourself: if what you’ll be doing is really fun, exciting and fulfilling, wouldn’t they want to tell you all about it right up-front? If they’re not saying what it is, it’s probably illegal, frustrating (especially work at home scams), unfulfilling, or just plain doesn’t exist. Many of the sales letters offering these types of scams tell you what the opportunity is NOT. For example, it’s NOT MLM, Mail Order Real Estate Investing, A Face To Face Selling Program. But what it is? They never tell you. You must be careful if you’re asked to invest money for an opportunity that doesn’t tell you exactly how you’ll be making money. Sometimes they hide some parts of the work (frustrating part) and shows only “easy part” of the opportunity.
2-Anything that requires you to pay a good cash (several hundred dollars) with little explanation of why this is necessary, it isn’t clear and the company won’t answer your questions, steer clear. But strong companies who want you to succeed will tell you exactly what you’re getting into – and what your money is going for.
3-Any opportunity where you can’t contact the company, either by phone, fax, or email is probably not a good opportunity
to join. Lets say, once you invest in their opportunity, how are you supposed to get your questions answered? Don’t work with companies or don’t join any money making programs that are ready to take your money, but don’t want to answer your questions.
4-Any “opportunity” which gives you an online calculator to calculate your possible earnings. They convince people that they’ll get that money if they join. Many of these con artists focus on getting you excited through earning potential, success stories and testimonials of other people making money (most times completely made up), and promises of easy money with little or no work.
Common Characteristics of Scams -Guaranteed Income (You’ll Make 30,000/month-GUARANTEED). No company or nobody can guarantee how much money you’ll make, no one can know how much you’ll work or what you’ll do. -Offering you a work-at-home-“job”- where you’re supposedly paid a salary or hourly wage from a company while “working from home”. But most of the companies don’t advertise the frustrating part of the work through home-business books or directories. -Products that “sell themselves”. No products sell themselves. Even the products which most people need still have to be marketed. -“Home Assembly” offers. Many of these home assembly offers charge you a fee to start and then refuse to pay you for the items you’ve assembled. -Envelope stuffing, coupon clipping, data entry. These systems most times are unworkable or includes a lot more work than just envelope stuffing, coupon clipping or data entry. -No one answers you by email, phone or etc. Certainly these are some of the characteristics of scams, but you should be careful with the programs or products which promises the world in their advertisement.
